Die Sache mit den fliegenden Koffern/The thing with the flying suitcases

Herrlich.

Tolle Bilder, tolle Objekte. Ich war ein wenig beseelt. Hier verstehe ich die Kunst. Sie wirkt auf mich. Sie macht mir einfach Freude. Sie sagt mir was.

In der Galerie Venus over Manhattan. Wenn das kein Zeichen ist! --->>> VENUS OVER MANHATTAN

See you, Claire

Friends of the fringe brush,
Yesterday I watched the movie "Taxi Driver". I had never seen it before. From time to time I heard about it and thought now would be the right time for it. It’s supposed to be a cult film. I pressed "Start" and the film began.
About 10 minutes later it was back ... I ignored it at first ... but it did not let up. It came back again. The symptoms were clear: boredom, disinterest and the onset of fatigue. I was not worried. No. I knew the symptoms. They always come crawling back if I don’t grasp and my ambition doesn’t get the upper hand to remedy this circumstance.
So this film is to be cult. I did not find the cult. I found sleep. Magnificent.  I awoke to Travis flattening Sport . I pressed "Stop".
Something within me has changed recently when it’s about art. My knowledge is, as already emphasized several times prior, more than poor, however lately I enjoy looking at art without getting upset. The other day painted shoes agitated me.
In my hometown I came across a wonderful starting point for my newly discovered small passion. There is an interesting and well equipped art museum as well as an art gallery hall with an excellent national reputation - if not internationally. I did not know that before however that’s a fact.
Short decided I went to the art gallery. A great exhibition by Friedrich Kunath is shown presently. I enjoyed a charming and very thorough tour by Rainer Steinmetz. He approximated back to me the art, I was thankful having seen Friedrich Kunath’s images. Great captures, great objects. I was a little inspired. Here I understand the art. It touches me. It gives me a simple pleasure. It tells me something. It opens up to me.
This is really only a very small glimpse of the exhibition:
Of particular interest to me is that Friedrich Kunath currently exhibits in New York at the Gallery Venus over Manhattan. If that's not a sign!
I ponder if you count oneself lucky as a successful painter? How does a painter feel, getting recognition for his pictures and his works of art will be paid accordingly? He gets up in the morning and can give free rein to his creativity, gather inspiration, photograph and do everything what is conducive to his art.

Going to send Friedrich an email and ask if we can switch?
*Note to myself: Send Friedrich Kunath a friend request on Facebook *
See you, Claire
