Die Sache mit der Teetasse / The thing about the cup of tea

Herrlich. Da will ich mit. Unbedingt.

Wort!

See you, Claire

Friends of the SPF,

Recently my colleague sent me a picture. Her on a horse. She was unaware until then that I essentially believe horses are not my cup of tea. They are too big, too unpredictable and too fast. I thought back to my childhood. Back then I was determined to ride horses but concluded that excursion into the animal kingdom promptly. I had a hard time getting onto the horse and that gallop thing was definitely too fast for me. One time I did dare to mount a pony. Outside and bareback. Went wrong...in a flash I was lying in the dusty dirt and the pony trotted on. Without me. Frustrated and humiliated I followed the pony hoof prints in the sand. I thought I saw an evil grin around its nostrils.

Since that point in time, I quit any relationships with horses. It's better that way.

However I would make one exception. In New York there is a sightseeing tour through Manhattan, called The Ride. Your ride on a big bus, seats are arranged like stadium seating and the tour guide is ready to start the party. The bus stops at certain locations and a little show begins in front of the bus windows. Marvelous! I want to go. Absolutely. I actually still have a cowboy hat...as you can see!

Yee Haaaa!!!! In any case there won't be any barns to clean with that. Promise!

See you, Claire
